Our firm is seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join our growing team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement while maintaining a strong connection to our local studio and project community. REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
- Currently registered as an Intern Architect and actively working toward professional Architect designation with the Ontario Association of Architects.
- Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, and construction detailing
- Familiarity with Canadian and Ontario building codes, standards, and regulatory processes
- Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite)
- Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
- Eligibility to work in Canada and availability for periodic in‑person work in Thunder Bay
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction
- Prepare drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials
- Assist with code research, technical detailing, and coordination with consultants
- Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities
- Contribute to design development, material research, and project planning
- Maintain accurate project documentation and support quality control processes
- Engage in ongoing professional development toward architectural licensure
Salary commensurate with experience and subject to review. 3 month probation required.
