Our firm is seeking a motivated Intern Architect to join our growing team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. This role offers a hybrid work arrangement while maintaining a strong connection to our local studio and project community. The ideal candidate brings curiosity, technical skill, and a commitment to advancing toward professional licensure in Ontario

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Currently registered as an Intern Architect and actively working toward professional Architect designation with the Ontario Association of Architects.
  • Strong understanding of architectural design principles, building systems, and construction detailing
  • Familiarity with Canadian and Ontario building codes, standards, and regulatory processes
  • Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Eligibility to work in Canada and availability for periodic in‑person work in Thunder Bay

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project teams through all phases of design, documentation, and construction
  • Prepare drawings, models, renderings, and presentation materials
  • Assist with code research, technical detailing, and coordination with consultants
  • Participate in client meetings, site visits, and construction administration activities
  • Contribute to design development, material research, and project planning
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and support quality control processes
  • Engage in ongoing professional development toward architectural licensure

 

Salary commensurate with experience and subject to review. 3 month probation required.
