Peterson Design Group Inc. is the successor firm to Peterson Design Consultant and Peterson+Habib, restructured to evolve and build on the 50 years of work completed by predecessor, Jim Peterson. Through transition of knowledge, shared experience, and continuing education, the team merges past, present and future into their projects. 

Jim himself has designed several landmark buildings in Thunder Bay, including the Italian Cultural Centre, Greek Orthodox Church, EMS center, Fire Stations, Bell Canada Office Building, several schools, and large multi-storey apartment buildings. His development skills and structural engineering experience are unmatched locally. Jim is known for “Getting Things Done” and we continue this legacy with our re-established team and the shared motivation to incorporate sustainability and advancement into designs and support the growth and development of Thunder Bay and Northwestern Ontario’s social and physical environment through architecture and engineering. 

The Peterson Design Group leadership team includes Jim Peterson P.Eng. (50+ years experience), Dani Rhodes, P.Eng. (15+ years experience), Katrina Hagerty, BES, M.Arch, OAA (20+ years experience), Barbara Schiiler (20+ years experience), who each bring dedication, design flair, Code and construction knowledge and experience to Peterson Design projects. Senior and intermediate technologists support the leadership team.
